Estimates & Costs
Here are answers to the most common questions we receive about maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, repairs, and appointments.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — estimates are always free, with same-day estimates available. Call (469) 814-8776 or visit us at 6408 Industrial Dr B in Sachse, Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–6 PM
Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
Walk-ins are welcome during business hours, but calling ahead helps us have an estimator ready when you arrive. For larger damage, scheduling a time lets us give the vehicle a thorough look.
How much does collision repair cost?
It depends entirely on the damage — a bumper scuff and a frame repair are different worlds. What we promise: a clear, written estimate before any work begins, honest recommendations about what's necessary versus optional, and no surprise charges. If we find additional damage once panels come off, we contact you (and your insurer) before proceeding.
Why is one shop's estimate cheaper than another's?
Estimates can differ because shops differ — in the parts they quote, the repair procedures they follow, and what they include versus discover later. A lower estimate sometimes means corners: aftermarket parts where OEM is appropriate, skipped procedures, or an incomplete inspection that grows once work starts. Compare what's in the estimate, not just the bottom line, and ask each shop to walk you through it. We're always glad to explain ours line by line.
Should I file an insurance claim or pay out of pocket?
A useful rule of thumb: if the repair cost is close to or below your deductible, paying out of pocket usually makes sense. If damage is well above it, a claim is typically the way to go. We'll give you a free estimate first so you can make that call with real numbers instead of guesses. (For decisions about premiums and claim history, your insurance agent is the right person to ask.)
Insurance Claims
Here are answers to the most common questions we receive about insurance, diagnostics, repairs, and appointments.
Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?
No. In Texas, you have the right to choose your own repair shop — your insurer can suggest one, but the choice is yours by law. Insurance-recommended shops have agreements with the insurer; we work for you. Either way, we'll coordinate directly with your insurance company.
Will you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work with all major insurers — State Farm, GEICO, Farmers, Nationwide, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, AAA, and more. We help document the damage, communicate with your adjuster, and keep the claim moving from estimate to delivery so you don't have to chase anyone.
What is a deductible, and when do I pay it?
Your deductible is the portion of the repair you pay before insurance covers the rest — typically $500 or $1,000. You pay it directly to us when you pick up your vehicle; your insurer pays the remainder of the approved repair cost.
What happens if you find more damage after repairs begin?
This is common — some damage only becomes visible once panels are removed. When it happens, we document the additional damage and submit what's called a supplement to your insurance company for approval. We keep you informed at every step; you'll never get a surprise bill for damage you didn't know about.
The accident wasn't my fault. Whose insurance handles it?
Typically the at-fault driver's insurance pays through their liability coverage, though you can also claim through your own insurer (who may then recover from theirs). Every situation differs, and your agent or adjuster can advise on the best route — whichever way the claim goes, we can work with the paying insurer.
The Repair Process
Here are answers to the most common questions we receive about maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, repairs, and appointments.
How long will my repair take?
Honestly: it depends on the damage and on parts availability. Minor cosmetic repairs may take a few days; structural repairs and parts on backorder take longer. What we commit to is an honest timeline up front — not the answer you want to hear, but the one that's true — and regular updates while your vehicle is with us.
Will you keep me updated while my car is in the shop?
Yes. Clear communication is the core of how we operate: you'll know when parts arrive, when repairs are underway, and when your vehicle is in paint and final inspection. If the timeline changes, you'll hear it from us first.
Is my car safe to drive before repairs?
Sometimes — but don't assume. Damage that looks cosmetic can hide problems with lights, sensors, alignment, or structure. If anything is leaking, grinding, pulling, or if a light or sensor isn't working, don't drive it. Call us and we'll help you assess whether it's drive-in or tow-in.
My frame is damaged. Can that really be fixed?
In many cases, yes. Modern frame and structural repair uses precision measuring systems to return the structure to manufacturer specifications, following industry-approved procedures. In severe cases a vehicle may be declared a total loss by your insurer instead — we'll give you an honest assessment either way, because a repair we wouldn't put our own family in is a repair we won't do.
Do you repair hail damage?
Yes — hail is a fact of life in North Texas, and hail repair (including the insurance claims that come with it) is a regular part of our work. Depending on severity, repairs may use paintless dent repair (PDR) or conventional repair and refinishing. After a storm, call early: claims volume spikes across DFW and schedules fill fast.
QUALITY, PAINT & AFTER THE REPAIR
Here are answers to the most common questions we receive about quality, paint and after the repair.
Will the new paint match the rest of my car?
That's the standard every repair is held to. We use modern paint-matching technology to identify your vehicle's exact factory color — including metallics and pearls — and expert blending techniques so the repair is seamless with the original finish. If you can find the repair afterward, we haven't done our job.
Do you use OEM or aftermarket parts?
It depends on the repair and on what your insurance policy covers — OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts come from your vehicle's maker, while aftermarket and recycled parts can be appropriate in some repairs. We'll tell you exactly which parts your estimate includes and explain your options before work begins, so the decision is made with you, not for you
Will the accident show up on my Carfax or affect resale value?
We'll be straight with you: accident history reported through insurance claims or police reports can appear on vehicle history reports regardless of who repairs the car — that's outside any shop's control. What is in our control is the quality of the repair, and a documented, properly executed repair from a reputable shop protects your vehicle's value far better than a cheap fix that a future buyer's inspector will spot.
